“The Homai” is one of three limited edition T-shirts created in collaboration with our friend, illustrator Manjit Thapp. It celebrates the life and talents of Homai Vyarawalla, India’s first female photojournalist. Her flashbulb constantly flaring, she captured everything from the daily lives of Bombayites to Indian independence.

Nestled within Manjit’s delightful illustration are snapshots of Homai’s story. Spot the emblem of J.J School of Art in Bombay, where she first fell in love with photography; the Bombay Chronicle, where her first photo series was published; the press card — a nod to her unwavering dedication to journalism; and the photograph from her collection of acclaimed published works.

“The Homai” is proudly made in Bangladesh from finest quality organic cotton, and illustrated in London, with an oversized fit most optimal for breezy merrymaking or prolonged lounging. Kindly find your most comfortable size using the guide below.

Wear with pride as a tribute to female creativity, a reminder to follow your passion.
